My name is Anissa Ballesteros (everyone calls me Mrs. B). I teach Spanish, Digital Media, and 7th grade religion in the middle school and I also aide in the Kindergarten class.
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I have a huge Mexican family and I grew up being very close with them. I love my culture and traditions and I am excited to share them with my students. I was raised Catholic, but unfortunately did not have the privilege to attend Catholic school. I graduated from San Diego State University with my bachelor’s degree in child and family development. I have been working with a wide variety of children for over twelve years and I absolutely love my profession.
I met my husband in Okinawa, Japan in 2013, and together we have two children, Jimmy (6) and Gia (4). At the beginning of 2022, my husband and I decided to relocate, and we settled in Nashville. My kids are both St Edward students and we love this school!
I feel so blessed to be at St. Edward and I hope to impact each student in the most positive way. Thank you and God Bless!
