General Music (PreK-4th Grades) and Choir (5th-8th Grades)
Job Description
Position Summary: The Music Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades PreK through 8. This individual will provide engaging, challenging, and faith-centered lessons that not only strengthen students' music skills but also nurture their growth as thoughtful and compassionate individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong Catholic identity, a deep understanding of music concepts, choir practices, and musical theater production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver effective, faith-integrated lessons in General Music and Choir to students in grades Prek-8.
• Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to explore their musical talents.
• Design assessments, assignments, and activities to monitor and support student progress.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs.
• Assist in the production of Grandparents Day, Evening of the Arts, and concerts.
• Foster the spiritual growth of students by incorporating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum.
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
• Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic faith in daily interactions and instruction.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education, or a related field (required).
• Strong Catholic identity and commitment to living out the values of the Catholic faith in the classroom.
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ability to integrate faith and academics effectively.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential, both academically and spiritually.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid Tennessee Teaching License with endorsement in Music.
• Familiarity with using technology in the classroom, including educational software and interactive learning tools.

St. Edward School is currently seeking substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 school year.

After Care Worker
Description
St. Edward School is seeking candidates for the position of after care worker at 190 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. We are seeking motivated, energetic candidates willing to work with any age group between 3 years and 13 years. This part-time position is from 3 pm- 6 pm Monday through Friday and pays $16 per hour. No weekends are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
After school, St. Edward students are ready for rest, relaxation, and fun. The primary duty of extended care workers is supervising activities for kids. Activities can include fun play, such as arts and crafts, or activities that focus on skills in sports, games, and helping with homework.

Qualifications and Skills:

You meet the basic requirements of the local childcare regulatory agency.

You can lift 35 lbs. in connection with handling children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
