Alex Tran moved from Florida to Tennessee six years ago with her husband and their three children. A lifelong Catholic school student herself, she attended Catholic school from Pre-K through high school. She began her career in education as a Pre-K teacher's assistant at her former Catholic elementary school, where she learned from an incredible mentor teacher. After spending eight wonderful years at home raising her children, Alex returned to the classroom as a Catholic preschool teacher and later became a preschool director. She earned her bachelor's degree from Polk State College and is currently pursuing a master's degree in teaching K–5 at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Her husband, who is also her high school sweetheart, shares her love of cooking, and they enjoy preparing meals for their family and relaxing over coffee on their front porch. Their oldest daughter is a sophomore at WCS, their middle daughter will begin 7th grade at St. Cecilia, and their son will be in 3rd grade at St. Edward.
Alex is excited to begin her first year at St. Edward and feels truly blessed to join this community. She looks forward to teaching her students not only academics but also the beauty of the Catholic faith, especially the sacraments.
