Mrs. Jill Ellis grew up in Santa Claus, Indiana, where she spent many summers working at Holiday World. She graduated from Indiana State University in Terre Haute in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (grades 1–8) and a minor in Kindergarten. Over the years, she has taught at Sacred Heart School and Overbrook School, and she is now beginning her 18th year at St. Edward, where she serves as the school librarian.
Jill and her husband, Tom, have three daughters, two of whom are married and have blessed them with three beautiful grandchildren. Outside of school, Jill enjoys walking, biking, reading, cooking, gardening, cheering on the Nashville Predators, and watching Notre Dame football. She feels truly blessed to be part of the St. Edward community and considers her work a vocation, striving each day to share J.O.Y. with her students. Fun fact: Mr. Herman, the school's technology teacher and literacy coach, is her son-in-law, and Mrs. Stockdale, the P.E. teacher, has been her best friend since 3rd grade—making it an extra blessing to share her days at St. Edward with both family and lifelong friends.
