Kelly McLean grew up in Nashville and is a proud alumna of St. Edward School. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, returning to St. Edward two years ago was a meaningful step for both her and her family.
Teaching young children has always been her passion and being able to share that passion in a place so close to her heart feels like coming full circle. She comes from a large Catholic family with deep ties to the St. Edward community—her grandparents, father, siblings, aunts, uncles, and many cousins all walked these halls—so joining the staff truly felt like coming home.
Her husband, Ryan, also attended Catholic schools in Nashville. They have three children: Drew, who will be a junior at UTC this fall; Charlie, who is attending trade school; and Luke, who will be in 1st grade at St. Edward.
Outside the classroom, Kelly enjoys beach trips, college football, and spending time with family and friends. She feels grateful to teach at a place that means so much to her and loves to say, "SES is the BEST!"
