Rachel Toups was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education (geaux Tigers!). After college, she moved to Nashville, where she has loved every minute—yes, even the traffic. This is her third year at St. Edward and her fourth year teaching, and she truly feels she has found her place.
Rachel is passionate about teaching young children and strives to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, known, and loved in her classroom. She especially enjoys helping students discover the magic of reading and fostering a classroom family where everyone feels they belong. Outside of school, Rachel enjoys being outdoors, staying active, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her favorite people. Being part of the St. Edward community has been a blessing to her, and she is grateful for the joy, support, and laughter that fill the halls each day.
