More than 70 years on Thompson Lane
About St. Edward School
St. Edward School has formed children in faith and learning on Thompson Lane since 1952. We are a Catholic school, Pre-K through eighth grade, sharing one property with St. Edward Church.

A parish school is not a campus that happens to have a chapel. Here the church and the school share the property, the calendar, and the people. Our students worship at St. Edward Church each week. Families come from 25+ zip codes across Nashville, from every racial, ethnic, and economic background, and gather on one property for one purpose.

What does not change is the conviction that a child is formed, not processed. St. Edward guides students from foundational skills in the early grades, to responsibility and critical thinking in the middle grades, to leadership, faith integration, and real-world application by eighth grade. Graduates leave rooted in their Catholic faith and prepared for the academic rigor of high school.
St. Edward School's Mission Statement
Beginning in the home and nurtured at our school, St. Edward’s mission is to cultivate our students into Saints and Scholars in the image of Christ.
School Motto
Be your best,
do what is right,
in the image of Christ.

St. Edward School is accredited through Cognia and the Tennessee Department of Education.
